The Game of Fan Tan
Fan Tan, or fancy is a popular gambling game once widely played in the ancient China. It is now known as "Pai Gow" in the west, which literally translates to "Luck of the Golden Flower." It is an entirely luck-based game, with many similarities to blackjack. There are no cards and the outcome of every game is decided by the luck of the draw. There are no specific skills required to play. Fan Tan is a simple game. Three piles of ten cards, played from left-to-right, then turned face-up in the form of a card.
The first stage of the game is the dealer making seven cards from the deck at the top. The dealer draws seven cards from the top deck. Each team is given seven 안전놀이터 cards. The cards are then turned face down and the new Fan Tan order written on the back of each card. Each player is given a new Fan Tan stack. The Fan Tan stacks are laid out in the middle with the cards drawn first.
The second phase is similar to the first, with the exception that the players are dealt seven more cards. The cards are then turned face-down again after this round. The back of each card displays the new Fan Tan order. The regular 52-card deck will have the cards that were turned over this time.
The scoring is the same as the normal version of the game. The number of chips each player has is added together and added up to determine the player's final score. The player with the highest number of chips at the end of the game will win. If not, the player with the least chips at the end of the game wins.
A new rule is now in place. If a player has less chips than the other player and the player with the least chips will be given a second card prior to when those players are dealt a third. The second player will not draw more cards than the previous. If one player has less chips than another player, the first player must draw one card before the second can. Players can agree about the amount of cards dealt or alternatively choose to keep the amount of cards dealt at the same. If a player chooses to keep the number of cards dealt at the same time the dealer will shuffle the deck before dealing the final rounds of cards.
It is easy to grasp the rules. Players shuffle their decks and each player selects a club, B, C D, E or F to play in a diamond or hearts theme. The dealer then sets seven cards on the table. These cards are labeled A to G. The dealer then deals seven cards to each player starting with "A". The dealer then places all of the seven cards on the tableau face up.
Then all players get two cards with their faces up and decide the pile they draw from. The card with the lowest value is selected by the first player. The second player chooses the card that has the highest value. If there isn't an additional card selected by the initial dealer, the last player will draw from the top of the pile. The first dealer will typically review the cards after the final card has been dealt. After that, the dealer will give the game back to the player who started it and begin the second round.
As you will see the game is played in a way similar to solitaire, however it requires four players. You must deal the cards once, before re-dealing the cards. You can't deal the cards before other players have played their turn, and the dealer is usually the one to end the game in order to allow the other players to take their turn. This means that you and your four companions will need to be prepared to play the cards when the dealer calls for your turn. If you are playing with more players than four, you will need to wait until all of them are called prior to when you can deal the cards.
